Pauly Shore tasted super-stardom in 1990 when his MTV show “Totally Pauly” hit the airwaves to major fan approval. The show ran for six years, leading Pauly to a one-hour HBO comedy special, “Pauly Does Dallas,” and starring roles in films like “Jury Duty,” “In the Army Now,” “Bio-Dome,” “Encino Man,” “Son In Law,” and “A Goofy Movie.” Pauly went on to produce and star in several of his own projects, including “Pauly Shore is Dead,” as well as the comedy specials “Vegas is My Oyster,” on Showtime starring Andy Dick, Tom Green, Bobby Lee, and “Pauly-Tics,” on Showtime starring Herman Cain and Larry King. In 2014, he released “Pauly Shore Stands Alone,” a true-life road documentary that follows Pauly as he performs in obscure towns throughout Wisconsin while dealing with his personal life. It appeared on Showtime and is available on Amazon Prime and YouTube. Other recent projects include Adam Sandler's "Sandy Wexler," the short film "Sin City Psycho” Dreamworks’ animated “The Big Trip,” Lionsgate’s animated film “The Little Penguin: Pororo's Dinosaur Island Adventure” and the indie feature “How it Ends” starring Whitney Cummings, Olivia Wilde, Nick Kroll and more. Pauly also starred in the movie “Guest House,” which is currently streaming on Netflix (digital and on-demand). In 2022, Pauly voices characters in Dreamworks’ “Pinocchio: A True Story” and “My Sweet Monster.” Pauly released a series of video interviews in 2017 called the “Pauly Shore Podcast Show.” His guests included Judd Apatow, Iliza Shlesinger, Bob Saget and more. Pauly also hosted a podcast called “Pauly Shore’s Random Rants” which you can find on Bill Burr's All Things Comedy, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher and YouTube. Pauly also creates fun content for his fans, including a five minute workout show called Sweatin with the Wiez, recreation of iconic movie scenes called “Classic Scenes from Classic Movies” and music videos with his band “Pauly Shore and The Crustys” - all of which can be seen on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. The Crustys just released their first LP, available only at paulyshore.com. Apart from actively touring the country with his stand-up comedy, Pauly is currently the host of the Jam in the Van podcast and is working on a documentary of his life that spans the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s along with a memoir called "How'd You Expect Me to Turn Out" and a one man show about his life entitled "Stick with the Dancing: Funny Stories From my Childhood".

    Frankie Quiñones

    at Tempe Improv

Special Event Frankie Quiñones is a stand-up comedian, actor, and creator, known for his character work. Frankie stars in HULU's critically claimed, THIS FOOL, for which he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series at the Independent Spirit Awards. Frankie also recently wrapped a pilot for his own sketch show at Hulu entitled GET FRANKIE. Frankie also recurs on FX's WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS and animated series FIRED ON MARS and VICTOR & VALENTINO, both for HBO MAX. Other acting credits include MR MAYOR, FELIZ NAVIDAD, THE DRESS UP GANG, PAPI CHULO, and the upcoming WALKING DEAD Spin off, to name a few. Entertainment Weekly calls Frankie’s performance in THIS FOOL the best comedic performance of 2022. My favorite comedic performance this year was Frankie Quiñones as ex-con Luis, the brash heart and baffled soul of this sneaky-smart, laugh-out-loud series. Away for eight years, Luis seems unfrozen from longer ago, with nostalgia for his '90s gang-banging days and a penchant for quoting Austin Powers at the most problematic times.[ew.com] Frankie's podcast, THE FRANKIE QUINONES SHOW, is produced by Will Ferrell's Big Money Players and IHeartmedia, available on all podcast networks.

After his groundbreaking win on Last Comic Standing in 2006, Josh Blue has risen through the ranks to become a well-established headliner at venues throughout the world. In 2018, Josh crushed his set on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. In the same year, he was honored with a performance at the William H. Macy Gala at the prestigious Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, Canada. He wrapped up 2018 by recording his fifth hour special, Broccoli, at his home club, Comedy Works in Denver, CO. In 2021, following his 3rd place finish on NBC’s America’s Got Talent, Josh Blue hit the road with his As NOT Seen on TV Tour. Josh represented the United States in 8 countries as a member of the US Paralympic Soccer Team. Josh and his team were thoroughly disgraced in the 2004 Paralympic Games in Athens, Greece by not scoring a single goal. He is a single father living in Denver, CO with his son and daughter. Pat McGann

    at Tempe Improv

Pat McGann is quickly rising as one of the sharpest stand-ups in the comedy world. A relative latecomer to the scene, Pat began stand up at the age of 31 after realizing he was not very good at selling packaging. He hustled his way to become the house emcee at Zanies Chicago, where he distinguished himself as especially adept at working the crowd. A father of 3 young children, Pat’s appeal stems from his quick wit & relatable take on family. In 2017, McGann began touring as the opening act for Sebastian Maniscalco, moving with him from clubs, to theaters, and to arenas, including 4 sold out shows at Madison Square Garden. McGann’s relatively short, but impressive resume, includes performances on The Late Show with David Letterman, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Montreal’s famed Just For Laughs Festival, Gilda’s LaughFest, The Great American Comedy Festival and the Nashville Comedy Fest. McGann still calls Chicago home.

    Big Jay Oakerson

    at Tempe Improv

Special Event Big Jay Oakerson is one of the most beloved and easily recognizable comedians working today. His laid-back style and dirty delivery are the signature marks of his comedy. Jay’s career spans two decades, starting in Philadelphia as a “comic’s comic” before rising mainstream fame in New York. Constantly touring the country, Jay has been a part of some of the biggest comedy festivals including Moontower, Bonnaroo, RockStar Energy Drink's Mayhem Fest, Gathering of the Juggalos, Funny or Die’s Oddball Festival. He has wowed audiences at the prestigious Just For Laughs Montreal festival an impressive four times, both on The Nasty Show and with his solo show, The American Storyteller. Most recently, he has been playing yearly on the hit Vegas sold out festival SkankFest, which Jay helps produce. Every week, Jay co-host's “The Bonfire” alongside Bob Kelly on Radio Sirius XM 95 Monday through Thursday 6-8pm EST. He is also the co-host of two wildly popular podcasts “Legion of Skanks” with Luis J. Gomez and Dave Smith and “The SDR (Sex, Drugs & Rock & Roll) Show” with Ralph Sutton both on The Gas Digital Network. On the screen, Jay has been featured on “This Is Not Happening” with Ari Shaffir, “Comedy Underground” with Dave Attell, FX’s Emmy winning “Louie”, “Inside Amy Schumer”, and “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” & Conan O’Brien. Longtime fans of Jay’s will also remember him as Neil, the sexually ambiguous owner of a NYC rock club, on IFC’s “Z-Rock”, and from his appearances on Comedy Central's “Premium Blend”, “Comedy Central Presents” and “Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn”. Jay’s debut hour special "Big Jay Oakerson: Live At Webster Hall" premiered on Comedy Central in 2016 and was filmed at the legendary music venue in New York City to provide the perfect heavy metal vibe for the show. Jay's comedy is raw, compelling and honest to the core, as he takes viewers on a journey of brutal truths. His second special premiered in 2018 as part of “The Degenerates” on Netflix and filmed in Las Vegas. Jay has also recorded 3 comedy albums on Comedy Central Records, “The Crowdwork Sessions: What’s Your F@#king Deal?! Volumes 1 & 2” which captures Jay’s raunchy, off-the-cuff essence with a full hour of crowdwork; and Jay’s first album, “An American Storyteller”, a one-hour onslaught of unbridled raunchy rock n' roll hilarity. This year, Jay returns as the king of crowd work with his 2-part special, “THEM / THEY” available now on YouTube.

Jared Freid: The Table For One Tour

    at Tempe Improv

The Table For One Tour is the follow up to Freid’s successful The Family Business Tour. Instead of traveling with his parents on this one, Jared is going at it alone… in Europe. This hour of standup is about the highlights and lowlights of traveling when you’re single and 40. Explaining the reasons you’re traveling alone to your parents. Telling your married friends it’s not the wild time they imagine. And figuring out why they don’t put enough ice in your drink abroad. This hour is for everyone. Millennials. Parents of the Millennials. And the Gen Z people who want a story from the ghost of single future. Jared Freid is a stand-up comedian and podcaster based out of New York City. His most recent stand up special, “37 & Single” premiered on Netflix in 2023 year to rave reviews and rose to the Top 10 most watched TV in the US and Canada on Netflix. In addition, The New York Times touted “In the crowded field of dating jokes, Jared Freid…distinguishes himself...”. With a strong focus on dating and relationships, Jared’s comedy reflects the ordinary daily thoughts of everyone you know, especially if you know a lot of millennials that are obsessing over dating apps, trying to be real adults, and worrying about their bodies. His prior special, “Socially Distanced… Of Course” premiered on YouTube in 2021. Jared recently voiced the comedic narrator role on Peacock’s popular reality show “Love Under Cover.” He has also appeared on a number of television programs, including multiple appearances on “The Tonight Show” and as a regular contributor on “Good Morning Football” on the NFL Network. Jared can be seen in the upcoming independent romantic comedy “31 Candles.” In addition to his hectic touring schedule, Jared hosts two highly-rated weekly podcasts including his “JTrain Podcast”. The show has a cult following of loyal fans. Guests have included: Michael Che, Pete Davidson, Colin Quinn, Sal Vulcano, Bert Kreischer, Dave Attell, Michelle Wolf and more. It’s been called “A Dear Abby for Dudes,” which is why both men and women tune in religiously. Many of Jared’s fans say that his advice has helped them in their personal lives. Jared also co-hosts the popular podcast “U Up?” with Jordana Abraham of Betches, where they discuss their takes on modern dating with issues ranging from apps to hookups to relationships. In 2019, Jared released his first full-length comedy album “Always a Momma Bear” through Virtual Comedy Network. The album debuted at #1 on the iTunes Comedy Charts. Jared was also named a New Face of Comedy at the Just For Laugh’s comedy festival in 2017.

    Joe Dombrowski

    at Tempe Improv

Recently named one of Variety’s Top 10 Comics to Watch, Detroit native Joe Dombrowski first caught the world’s attention in 2017 with a viral April Fools’ Day spelling test prank that led to multiple appearances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Don’t get it twisted, though—it takes 20 years to be an overnight sensation! Joe’s been performing stand-up since his third-grade talent show, and he hasn’t stopped since. Today, Joe tours internationally with material that highlights his marriage, being a new dad, his accidentally hilarious parents and unforgettable years as an elementary school teacher. His comedy has been featured on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, the New York Comedy Festival, and Netflix Is a Joke Fest. Joe is also the co-host of the hit live comedy/game show My Straight Friends, running monthly at The World Famous Comedy Store in Los Angeles and Emerald City Comedy Club in Seattle. Off stage, he co-hosts the podcast Social Studies with Netflix reality star and fellow teacher, Gaspare Randazzo. Joe currently resides in Seattle, Washington where he hopes to run for Mayor sometime. And by Mayor he means PTA president.
