Catch legendary comedian, actor, and award-winning director Bobcat Goldthwait live at The Comedy Vault in Batavia, IL for 4 shows March 13–14, 2026. Known from Scrooged, Police Academy, HBO/Showtime specials, and directing Robin Williams in World’s Greatest Dad, Bobcat brings decades of comedy and storytelling to the stage. Since Bobcat Goldthwait’s first appearance on the David Letterman Show at the age of 20, he has gone on to maintain a thriving career as a writer, director, actor, voice actor and stand-up comedian. As a comedian, Bobcat has starred in numerous HBO/Showtime specials, performed in venues all over the world, and even went on tour as an opening act for the Band: Nirvana. Well known for his roles in “Scrooged” with Bill Murray and as Zed in the “Police Academy” franchise, Goldthwait has gone on to become a well-respected Award-Winning Director. His Directorial works include Television (Jimmy Kimmel, Chappell’s Show, Community, Maron, Those Who Can’t), feature films (World’s Greatest Dad starring Robin Williams, Willow Creek starring Bigfoot, God Bless America, Windy City Heat, and Sleeping Dogs Lie) and documentaries (Call Me Lucky and Joy Ride). In addition to being a 4x Sundance Alumni, Goldthwait’s films have played internationally including Deauville Film Festival and San Sebastian Film Festival. Bobcat has been honored with the German Independent Honorary Award at Oldenburg Film Festival for his collective works. Bobcat has also directed numerous standup comedy specials (Patton Oswalt, Marc Maron, Ron Funches, Iliza Shleshinger, Mo Willems, Gary Gulman, Hari Kondabolu, Eugene Mirman) and is currently working on converting his critically acclaimed documentary “Call Me Lucky” into a narrative film with Judd Apatow. Also in development, is an original Narative called “The Banishers” with QC Entertainment. He’s co-written Marvel’s Deadpool, co-produced Mr. Show, and released several acclaimed comedy specials including The Fartist and 25 X 2. In stand-up comedy he’s known as one of the original members of the Comedians of Comedy. He’s recorded two half hour specials for Comedy Central, four comedy albums and three hour long specials, The Fartist, Criminally Posehn and 25 X 2. In Voice-Acting he’s done everything from Scooby Doo to a recent role on The Simpsons. He starred on the animated shows, Mission Hill and 3 South and has turned up in Adventure Time, American Dad, Bob’s Burgers and Steven Universe, to name a few. His voice was featured in the 2017 Dreamworks Animated comedy, Captain Underpants. In the last several years he’s also been able to produce and host a popular D&D comedy podcast, Nerd Poker and co-write 45 issues of the best-selling Marvel comic book series Deadpool. In 2018 he released his first book, Forever Nerdy. In 2019, he completed a comedy metal album Grandpa Metal, featuring metal legends from Anthrax, Dethklok, Slayer and Soundgarden. Grandpa Metal was released to rave reviews in the metal world in February of 2020. In May, he was featured on Celebrity Worst Cooks on Food Network. He currently has a weekly two hour show spinning his favorite meta songs on GimmeMetal.com. In 2021, he plans to compete on American Ninja Warrior, Top Chef and So You Think You Can Dance. After he breaks TMZ and the Internet, when footage of him beating up a narwhal surfaces, he plans to quit showbiz.
