Hailing from Chicago, Chris Redd is a multifaceted talent whose work spans stand-up comedy, film,television and music. Redd’s first one-hour special, “Why Am I Like This?” was released in October 2022 and is streaming nowon MAX. The material was mined from his personal journey of self-discovery, pulling from hisexperiences starting therapy amid the height of the pandemic and taking a look at his life with anewfound perspective. In addition to acting and writing, Redd is a rapper and stand-up comedian who performs across thecountry and has toured the United States and Europe with The Second City Touring Company. Hereceived the Emmy Award in 2018 for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for the “SNL” song “ComeBack, Barack.” He appeared in the 2016 film “Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping”, opposite Kathy Bates in the Netflixoriginal comedy series “Disjointed” and has been featured in Netflix’s “Wet Hot American Summer,”NBC’s “Will & Grace,” Netflix’s “Love,” TV’ Land’s “Teachers,” Comedy Central’s “Detroiters” and“Comedy Central Stand-Up Presents.” He most recently portrayed the character of ‘Gary Williams’ onthe NBC comedy “Kenan” for two seasons. Redd has also loaned his voice to many projects includingNetflix’s “Big Mouth,” Audible’s “64 th Man” and Disney’s “Star vs. the Forces of Evil.” Additionally, he wasfeatured as a 2016 Standup New Face at Just for Laughs in Montreal.
